Thank you to our keynote speaker, RADM Perry Douglas, Commander, Submarine Group 9, Naval Base Kitsap / Bangor.
We opened our virtual event with a color guard and continued with the symposium project judging, a dozen virtual tours including a tour of the nuclear submarine USS Maine. The submarine tour was followed by an interactive Q&A session with two USS Maine sailors.
The Washington JSHS ~ February 19 & 20, 2021 ~ awarded students will present their projects at the National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium. The 2021 National JSHS event is virtual this year.
