Congratulations Washington & Oregon JSHS 2022 Students!

A successful ~ and in-person ~ Junior Science & Humanities Symposium (JSHS) was held February 18 – 20, 2022 at the Admiral Theatre in Bremerton, Kitsap County, Washington.

Special thank you to our Welcome Speaker ~ RADM Robert Gaucher, SUBGROUPNINE Commander, Naval Submarine Base, Bangor.  Boy Scout Troop #1539 presented the Color Guard.  Tours included the USS Turner Joy – DD-951, Puget Sound Navy Museum, Kitsap Historical Museum, Valentinetti Puppet Museums and the U.S. Naval Undersea Museum in “Torpedo Town USA” Keyport.

Washington JSHS welcomed and fostered Oregon JSHS students for 2022.  Each state retained their separate awards and opportunity to represent their state by presenting their project at the upcoming National JSHS.  National JSHS is scheduled for April 20 – 24, 2022 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The National JSHS event is also in-person this year.
