State Fair & Regional Fairs

There is only one statewide fair allowed in Washington by Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) rules.

Washington State Science and Engineering Fair (WSSEF)
March 31 & April 1, 2017 

WSSEF Includes All Students Grade 1 – 12 Statewide

Five regional science & engineering fairs in Washington are also ISEF affiliated.
If you live in a county covered by a Regional Fair you must attend the Regional Fair before entering WSSEF.
If you live in a county not covered by a Regional Fair you can enter WSSEF directly.
Central Sound Regional Science & Engineering Fair

Grades 9 – 12, Bellevue College, Bellevue (King & Snohomish Counties) March 11, 2017

South Sound Regional Science & Engineering Fair

Grades K – 12, Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma (Pierce, Thurston, Mason & Lewis Counties) March 25, 2017

Mid-Columbia Regional Science & Engineering Fair

Grades 6 – 12, Kennewick (Garfield, Columbia, Klickitat, Asotin, Adams, Kittitas, Douglas, Okanogan, Walla Walla, Chelan, Franklin, Grant, Benton & Yakima Counties) March 9 – 11, 2017

Southwest Washington Regional Science & Engineering Fair    

Grades 9 – 12, Vancouver (Wahkiakum, Skamania, Pacific, Cowlitz & Clark Counties) March 11, 2017

Eastern Washington Regional Science & Engineering Fair    

Grades 6 – 12, Spokane (Stevens, Lincoln, Spokane, Pend Oreille, Ferry & Whitman Counties) March 16, 2017

Other science competitions include Washington JSHS,  Student Bio Expo, WSU Imagine Tomorrow, FIRST Robotics, Science Bowl, Science Olympiad and others.
