Welcome 2023 Washington State & Oregon State students grades 9 – 12!
Due to circumstances, the Oregon State JSHS students will be hosted by the Washington State JSHS. Although students from both states join together for the JSHS symposium and judging, both Washington and Oregon retain their respective awards including five projects represented from each state at the National JSHS.
The Washington State Science & Engineering Fair (WSSEF) and the Naval Undersea Museum Foundation (NUMF) are hosting the Washington State 2023 Junior Science & Humanities Symposium (JSHS). Save the Date! February 17 – 19, 2023 in Kitsap County.
WORK ON YOUR PROJECTS NOW! WSSEF and NUMF are committed to hosting the Washington JSHS 2023 for you. The JSHS is in-person and we look forward to hosting you. Continue working your inquiry-based research projects!
The Washington JSHS and Oregon JSHS ~ February 17 – 19, 2023 ~ awarded students will present their project at the National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium. The 2023 National JSHS event is scheduled for April 2023 in Virginia Beach, VA. Travel accommodations are provided for five selected Washington State and five selected Oregon State projects.
Every public, private, parochial, tribal or home school student grades 9 – 12 is eligible to attend
- Special Tip: Your previous WSSEF or Regional Fair project that is new to the JSHS is acceptable to register.
- All Washington and Oregon students selected for Oral Presentations receive travel funds, hotel accommodations, meals and tours.
